Our Team

Rose D’Angelo, President and Executive Director

Rose has over 10 years’ experience working with youth with disabilities, at Youth Challenge, Easter Seals, United Cerebral Palsy and Special Olympics. This includes managing both staff and volunteers at the different positions. Moreover, she has a degree in social work from Marquette University, and extensive training and certification in assisting youth with disabilities. Furthermore, she is CPR and first aid trained and certified. Finally, as she personally worked at Youth Challenge Sports, and this program is adopting that model, she is perfectly suited to make sure this program is successfully run.

She plans adapted sports, recreation, and socialization activities, preparing for meetings, running meetings, personally training volunteers and staff, implementing adapted sports, recreation, and socialization activities, coordinating volunteers and staff, and promoting the company at fundraisers.

She is very excited to act as Executive Director, and to develop a program unlike any that currently exist in southeastern Wisconsin.

Samuel Obregon, Treasurer

Sam has over 15 years’ experience working as a Director Level Financial Consultant, working currently as a Reporting Manager at LeapFrog. He received his bachelor’s degree from the College of Business at San Francisco State University. He is very excited to act as Treasurer, and to ensure filing and record-keeping accuracy and compliance throughout development of Joey’s Place.

Jennifer Lowood, Secretary

Jenny has over 30 years’ teaching experience, and worked as a stenographer before that. She is currently the English Department Chair at Berkeley City College. She majored in English Literature at UC Berkeley, and received her masters in that same field from San Francisco State University. She is very excited to assist Joey’s Place in becoming what she knows it can become.

Maxwell Livingston, ESQ. Board Member

Max is an Attorney Licensed in the state of Wisconsin. He currently runs his own law firm in Waukesha, Wisconsin, practicing in the fields of business and contract law. He also works as a legal-business consultant, ensuring that companies properly draft documents including but not limited to, bylaws, conflict-of-interest policies, shareholder agreements, and employment agreements. He also works with such companies in order to incorporate them, and to ensure continued legal-compliance. He has a bachelors degree in English from UC Berkeley, a JD from Marquette University Law School, and a Masters Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Marquette University Law School. He is very excited to further the mission of the Board of Directors.

Venk Seelam, Board Member

Venk Seelam earned his Bachelor’s in Legal Studies at the University of California in Berkeley. He has worked for Wharton University and Head Royce’s technology department – educating faculty and students on the advantages of technology for education. Along with IT, he has worked as a Financial Auditor in Honolulu, Hawaii, as well as a business development consultant for both individuals and developing companies. Venk currently lives in Oakland, California. Venk is very excited to work on the Board of Directors.

Paul D’Angelo, Board Member

Paul has over 30 years’ experience managing, and extensive training from his MBA – program.  He ran a major department of UPS for many years and currently runs and manages an Apartment complex in Bensenville, Illinois. He also operated and owned a flower shop in Illinois for many years. Paul currently resides in Bensenville, IL and is very excited to work on the Board of Directors. Like both Venk and Max, he is able to offer a unique and helpful perspective to the rest of the Board, due to his unique credentials and experience.
